Trade Deal Showdown: President Donald Trump Arrives in Japan Ahead of Landmark Talks with China

On Saturday, China’s Communist President Xi Jinping will present Trump with terms to settle the trade war. The dispute between the two nations is the direct result of actions taken by China, over the years, which have caused troubles with the United States.

President Trump initiated the trade war in 2018 because of the unfair trade practices and since has held a hard stance against the Communist nation. Regardless of wrongdoing, China is continually requesting that the United States end the campaign of pressure against their economy.

“We urge the U.S. to immediately cancel its pressure and sanction measures on Huawei and other Chinese companies, and push for the stable and healthy development of China-U.S. trade relations,” Gao Feng, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, said in Mandarin, according to a CNBC translation.

Should the trade war continue, several CEO’s and Financial Experts have warned about the effects on the world economy. Morgan Stanley is the sixth biggest bank in the United States, and the CEO, recently stated that ‘the trade war would have a devastating impact on the world economy.’
