Americans are 90% sure that a higher power exists; but only a slim majority believe in the God of the Bible. Further, 50% of Americans hold fast that God determines what happens in their lives.

A new pew research study surveyed 4700 persons and found that one third of American adults, do not believe in the God of the Bible, although they do hold a belief that there is a higher power.

Roughly 56% of Americans believe in the God of the Bible. Furthermore, one in ten Americans do not believe in any form of a higher power.

The Pew center’s research also revealed that Americans who believe in the God of the Bible are declining, but most of the "nones" still presume to believe in a higher power.
