The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, mentioned to Global News Television that he believes that if there were no escalations in the Middle East that the downing of flight ps752 would have never happened. “I think if there were no tensions if there were no escalation recently in the region, those Canadians would be right now home with their families.”
Instead of directly pointing the finger at Iran, who fired two missiles at flight Ps752, the Canadian Leader, attempted to slightly blame the United States for the loss of Canadian life.
“This is something that happens when you have conflict and war. Innocents bear the brunt of it, and it is a reminder why all of us need to work so hard on de-escalation, moving forward to reduce tensions and find a pathway that doesn’t involve further conflict and killing,” Trudeau continued, appearing to reference Trump’s order of a drone strike that killed Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad on Jan. 2.
Trudeau‘s attempt to portray blame against the United States for the downing of the Iranian-Ukrainian jet is shameful. The plane was taken down by Iran, and the Iranian regime. Once the people of Iran learned that their government brought down a plane carrying their own citizens, they didn’t express anger towards the United States; instead, they blamed their own government for the horrific loss of life. Further, Canada should do the same and blame Iran.
